We all yearn for a cozy movie night, don’t we?
As the internet and technology evolve, it has become super convenient to grab a bag of snacks and cozy up at home to watch your favorite movies with your loved ones. Y para ser honesto (And to be honest), this is what I prefer because I have made my setup so great that neither do I need to watch a movie in a movie theatre nor do I want to.
If you, too, want to build a movie night setup that eliminates the need to go to a theatre, read on to find out how I achieved it (and you can too) below:
-
Get a Reliable Internet Connection
First things first, to improve your movie experience, you need high-quality streaming, and for that, you need high-speed internet.
I got tired of watching a buffering icon or frozen screen instead of the actual movie, so I went on to hunt for the best internet provider that was available in my area. Where did I finally find my match? It was Optimum internet.
Optimum is regarded as one of the best internet providers in the US because it offers fiber internet that plays movies in 4K like a breeze, and plans that come without data caps and contracts. In simple words, it is great. If you, too, speak Spanish like me and need to upgrade your internet for the best movie experience, reach out to a representative of Optimum Internet en español.

Improve Your Viewing Setup
Once you are sorted with your internet connection, you need a good display setup that actually supports 4K streaming.
There are multiple options in the market for a 4K display, but I suggest going with the Samsung display. Whether it is a phone’s display or a TV’s, Samsung makes the best display to date.
Also, make sure to choose something that offers additional features like a curved display – it will make your experience more immersive. That would come pretty expensive, but in my opinion, it is worth it.
If bigger TV screens aren’t your thing, then you can always get a projector that displays your picture on a blank white wall. The display via the projector would be bigger, and it would be cheaper and more portable than your TV.
Lastly, always optimize the display settings for a balanced movie experience. For example, a low brightness and darker shadows will make your movie experience so much better. So, don’t mess with the settings.
-
Get Into Your Coziest Pajamas
Es imprescindible tenerlo (It is a must). Since you are watching the movie at home, you should make the movie experience feel like home.
A pair of jeans is fine, but it is not great. Get your pajamas out that are soft, warm, and comfy. This will enhance your movie night experience.
I prefer fleece pajamas that are made with a mix of cotton and some silk. They are super comfortable, so do try them out.
-
Enhance Your Seating Arrangement
Thismight sound unnecessary, but trust me, it matters a lot.
Your viewing angle will either break or make your experience better. Sometimes it is not great for all the angles because of the reflections from lights and other stuff around your home with light in it.
So, before placing your TV or projector, think of the seating arrangements. Evaluate whether all the viewers around your home will be comfortable watching the movie. If you think they won’t, then just fix it.
On top of that, to further enhance your viewing experience, use better furniture. Look for the chair with leg and thigh support. If you can afford the recliner seats, the way all the theatres have them. They will heavily improve the overall experience of your movie night.
If you can’t afford any of that, it is better to use the existing cushions and pillows to improve the overall experience of the movie night.
-
Upgrade Your Audio Quality
Audio quality is one of the most important parts of watching a movie. Imagine not being able to catch the British accent just because you can’t listen to the dialogue. That is why it is vital to upgrade your audio quality.
¿Cómo puedes hacer exactamente eso? (How can you do exactly that?)
If you want a proper theatre experience, then use a soundbar that offers features like Dolby surround sound. That surround sound is the same factor that makes movie-watching experience in a theatre different because the sounds there are usually coming from different angles.
So, do upgrade that as well.

Last But Not Least, Snack It Up
Is it even a movie night, if there are no snacks?!
Snacks are a must, especially for a Hispanic foodie like me. So, bake a bowl of popcorns, or get a bag of your favorite Doritos. Don’t like any of them? You can go with any snacks you like. Just keep them to munch on while following all these tips and then finally watching the movie. It will definitely enhance your experience at home.
